GeorgeTooker-Sotheby'sThe November art auctions in New York generated over $2 billion in sales of Contemporary and American art. But an important work by George Tooker (1920-2011), An Embrace of Peace, failed to find a buyer (willing pay the minimum $125,000 at Sotheby’s).

Perhaps the subject matter, and George Tooker (and his conversion), are out of favor in the Art World.

Even more troubling, is the sense that the need for “conversion” is unknown to many in the Church.
