“And having taken bread, he gave thanks and broke and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is my body, which is being for you; do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same manner he also took the cup after the supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which shall be shed for you. ..but behold, the hand of him who betrays me is with me on the table.” Luke 22: 19-20

As bad as the bombing of the Coptic Churches in Egypt is, the accepted (by UCCB) reading of a shortened form of the Passion — omitting the Last Supper (“new” covenant) and much of the Passion — on Palm Sunday feels even worse.
